Accounting audit

Checking the accounting documentation and financial transactions of the company for compliance with Slovak standards and requirements. Identification of errors in order to correct them.

Accounting audit of a company in Slovakia is an easy way to check accounting documents, organize accounting in accordance with the requirements, and eliminate possible errors. The purpose of the audit is to optimize accounting and thereby eliminate the possibility of penalties due to errors in document management and reporting.

When compared with an external audit, accounting audit is not a mandatory procedure. It can be held at any time when there are grounds for it. It can be:

  •     change of management or partners
  •   a new chief accountant
  •     tax risks.

Depending on the goal set by the management, the accounting audit may be complete or partial. Usually the following documents are analyzed:

  •   primary documentation (statutory documents of the company, business agreements, financial statements, tax returns);
  •     external documentation (reports for tax administration, investment funds, government agencies)
  •     annual and interim reports.

The entire accounting or its specific parts can be analyzed. For example, checking the correctness of payroll, checking accounts receivable or accounts payable.

The accounting audit of a company helps to see errors and weaknesses in the accounting activities of a company in order to eliminate them on time and, thus, avoid penalties and financial losses.
