TRANSLATION SERVICES

You will inevitably need the services of a translator if your original documents are not in Slovak. It will be necessary for solving both work and personal issues. In some cases, you will need a regular written translation or a notarized translation, and in some other cases, a sworn translation. Official sworn translation of documents into the Slovak language is often required by public authorities. How to duly translate documents into the Slovak language?

It all depends on the type of documents and the agreement concluded by your country. Certification of translation is not required for countries that are state parties to the Hague Convention. This means that in order to use abroad documents issued in such a country, you only need to apostille them.   Apostilled documents must not only be translated into Slovak but the translation must be made by a sworn translator and bound to a notarized copy of the document.
